About Jen Parker
I am a experienced certified Yoga and Pilates teacher in NYC. I have been teaching Yoga in NYC since 2014. My classes are thoughtful and alignment-based, playful and energetic, and always influenced by the breath and the poetry of moving meditations.
In addition to Yoga, I have been teaching Pilates (mat and apparatus) since 2016. To me, the pilates method is one of the best things anyone could do for their body! The precision and control you learn in Pilates is so vital. The balance of strengthening and flexibility you can achieve through pilates is efficient and unique to this method. The focus on quality of movement rather than reps performed was personally life changing for me!
I am very passionate about my work. My goal is to challenge to you on a physical and mental level without producing burnout, help you achieve self-awareness through mind-body connection, and at the end of the day hopefully step off the mat feeling like the work you just did is relevant and creating a clear measurable difference in your life.
I believe that teaching is the art of assisting discovery. I don’t believe in gurus. You are your own true teacher, and I am just grateful to assist you on your journey!
